An Update from the Mayor and Commission

Monday, September 2, 2019 – 7:15 pm
Tamarac remains under a tropical storm watch which is expected to last through tomorrow, and the City’s offices and facilities will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, September 3, 2019. 
Broward County Public Schools will also be closed on Tuesday, September 3. Please monitor local news for information on when Broward County Public Schools will resume classes.
Waste Management has informed us that there will be NO garbage collection tomorrow, September 3.
Broward County transportation will resume operations at noon tomorrow.
In addition, Broward County announced today that it opened three general population shelters.  

  • Atlantic Technical College/Arthur Ashe Junior Campus, 1701 NW 23rd Ave., Fort Lauderdale

  • Monarch High School, 5050 Wiles Road, Coconut Creek

  • Everglades High School, 17100 SW 48th Court, Miramar (PET-FRIENDLY)
