Welcome 2017!

With the new year, we find change and growth.  To that end, I am hoping to improve communication by providing an e-newsletter that will include pertinent information concerning District 4 as well as the entire City.  Hopefully you will find this helpful and informative.  Please tell your neighbors they can sign up to receive District 4 communications by sending me their email address, or by visiting my web page at http://www.tamarac.org/index.aspx?nid=776 where they can click the newsletter sign up link and follow the instructions provided.

New Ordinance for
Hurricane Shutters

The City adopted the following ordinance concerning hurricane shutter removal to address fire safety concerns and ensure that Fire Rescue and BSO have access to occupied buildings in case of an emergency.

Chapter 9, Article 4, Section 9-130 Residential Property Maintenance Standards.

(e)(12) Hurricane shutters and protective devices, installed on occupied buildings which impede required egress or required light and ventilation shall be removed within 15 days after the termination of such periods of time that had been designated by the National Weather Services as being a hurricane watch or warning.

Want to enhance your community‚Äôs entrance or other rights of way in or around your neighborhood?  We can help.  The City will soon launch its Neighborhood Partnership and Beautification program.

Neighborhood and homeowner associations will be able to apply for matching funds available through the City for projects such as:

  • Signage
  • Lighting
  • Landscaping
