From the Mayor and Commission
Wednesday, March 25, 4:30 pm
As we continue to fight the Coronavirus pandemic, the City urges all residents to stay at home as much as possible. Social distancing is critical for our senior community and those with certain health conditions. Please do your part to protect yourself and others by limiting the spread of COVID-19.
Tamarac’s Public Services department continues to ensure that essential services are unaffected by the pandemic. Our water is still safe and tasty, and garbage, recycling and bulk collections are following the regular schedule. However, Waste Management’s call center is temporarily closed. Call Public Services at (954) 597-3750, submit a ticket using the trackEZ
portal, or report an issue directly to Waste Management via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
, if you have questions or concerns.
As a reminder, the March 28 Household Hazard Waste drop off event in Lauderdale Lakes has been canceled.
If you start spring cleaning or home projects during this time, Public Services reminds you that standard bulk collection guidelines apply. The allowed quantity for single-family home pickup is 3 cubic yards per week. Loose items like lumber and tree limbs must be cut, tied and bundled, so they are no longer than 4 feet and no heavier than 50 pounds. General contractors doing work on your property are responsible for the disposal of debris from their work. Visit www.Tamarac.org/SolidWaste
for more information.
Finally, you should have received your 2020 Census letter and are encouraged to take the opportunity to respond during this time at home. You can do so online, by phone or email. Visit www.Tamarac.org/2020Census
for information on the census and how it helps the community. Remember, Everyone Counts in Tamarac!
