TAMARAC WELCOMES THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH SERIES OF FUN FAMILY EVENTS

 Surrounded by festive holiday lights Tamarac will kick-off the series on Thursday, Nov. 30, with the annual Holiday Lighting at Caporella Park, located at 5200 Prospect Road. Families can enjoy an evening of holiday-themed entertainment by the Jackson Bunn Duo and Tamarac Elementary School’s dance club and chorus. Guests of all ages can also enjoy photos with Santa, holiday-themed arts and crafts and light bites from onsite food vendors. Event parking is limited. The City will provide a free continuous complimentary shuttle to Caporella Park from Christian Life Center, which is located at 4905 Prospect Road. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. 

 Friday, Dec. 8, the City of Tamarac invites friends, families and neighbors to enjoy an enchanting evening at Winter Wonderland. This event will take place at Tamarac Park, 7501 N. University Drive, from 6-8 p.m. Festivities include pictures with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and friends, including Santa! Guests can also enjoy a $2 family-friendly train ride, an exhibitor hall filled with food and craft vendors and bounce houses for the kids. Live holiday musical entertainment will be delivered by OOOPY’s and The Gang. 

 Tamarac’s four-legged friends are in for an un-fur-gettable experience at the annual Paws with Claus Holiday Paw-ty. This annual event takes place Saturday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at Gary B Jones Park for People and Pups, 8101 Southgate Blvd. The event will feature a Best Dressed Holiday Hound contest, seasonal arts and crafts and photo opportunities for people and pets with Santa. Broward County Animal Care will also be present for pet adoptions. Adoption fees for pet spaying, neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and Broward County pet license tags will be waived.
