Tamarac, Fla. (September 6, 2023) - The City of Tamarac invites members of the public to attend the first of two Multimodal Transportation Connectivity Master Plan community input sessions on Thursday, Sept. 21, 6:30 p.m., at Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W Commercial Blvd. The Plan is designed to improve transportation options and connectivity for Tamarac residents and visitors. The meeting’s objective is to gather feedback from residents and transportation stakeholders.
The Multimodal Transportation Connectivity Master Plan will provide a comprehensive framework for enhancing the City's transportation system, including pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure, public transit, and roadways. The Plan will take into account Tamarac’s unique characteristics and will be developed with input from the community, stakeholders and transportation experts.
The City of Tamarac is committed to engaging the community throughout the planning process through multiple opportunities for public input. As part of the Tamarac Multimodal Master Plan development process, the City of Tamarac encourages the community to take a brief survey to provide feedback about current and future transportation needs and concerns. The survey is open through September 30, 2023, and can be accessed by visiting www.MoveTamarac.com.
The Multimodal Transportation Connectivity Master Plan is expected to be completed in the spring of 2024. The plan will serve as a guiding document for future transportation investments, policy decisions and planning efforts.
