The City of Tamarac invites the community to celebrate the holidays at its 44th Annual Light The Night Tree Lighting Celebration, Thursday, Dec. 2. This free event begins at 6:30 p.m. at Caporella Park, 5200 Prospect Road.

The evening’s activities include, lighting of the Christmas tree, Hanukkah menorah and Kwanza kinara. Festivities also include holiday music by recording artist Dwight Moment and Symphony, great food, a chance to meet Santa and photo ops with a host of holiday characters. South Florida snow flurries are also forecasted.

Tamarac’s tree lighting celebration has been a holiday tradition for more than four decades. The City is excited to welcome the community back to an in-person event, after shifting to a virtual celebration last year due to COVID-19.

Event parking is located at Christian Life Center, 2699 W. Commercial Blvd. A free shuttle service will be available to transport attendees to Caporella Park.
