TAMARAC, Fla. (November 9, 2021) – The City of Tamarac will honor those who served in the United States Armed Forces during a special Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 11, in which the newest names of local veterans will be revealed on the latest addition to Tamarac’s Veterans Honor Wall.

This event is free and open to the public.  The celebration begins at 10:30 a.m., at Veterans’ Memorial Park, located at 7825 Southgate Blvd. The program will include keynote speaker, Brigadier General Regina A. Sabric, Deputy Director of Operations, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM),  Miami, FL.

The event will conclude with the dedication and unveiling of 100 new names on Tamarac’s 12th Veterans Honor Wall panel.

This includes veterans currently or previously residing in Tamarac. The wall features the veteran’s name, rank, branch of service and years of service. In total, the Honor Wall features the names of 1,200 Tamarac veterans.

Event parking is available at Veterans’ Memorial Park and Sawgrass Lanes Bowling Alley, across the street on North University Drive. The adjacent Gary B Jones Park for People and Pups will be closed until 1 p.m. for VIP parking.
