TAMARAC COMMISSIONER MIKE GELIN TO HOST A PARTY ON WHEELS DURING INAUGURAL BIKE WITH MIKE WEEKEND COMMUNITY RIDE
Tamarac, Fla. (May 21, 2021) – As part of the inaugural Bike With Mike Weekend, City of Tamarac Commissioner Mike Gelin, in partnership with the Level Up Cycling Movement and Aetna, will host a 5-mile Community Bike Ride through the City on Saturday, May 22. Emceed by avid cyclist and local radio host Papa Keith, this family-friendly event welcomes cyclists at all levels. Music trucks will keep the excitement rolling along the route. Guests will also enjoy giveaways and an array of local food trucks reflecting the diverse flavors of South Florida. Riders must be at least 8 years old. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Don’t forget your helmets!

Additional Activities: Other Bike With Mike rides include a 60-mile Tropical Breeze Fondo, joined by 10-time National Cycling Champion Rahsaan Bahati; and a 35-mile Tropical Breeze FUNdo on Saturday, May 22. The 50K ChocLit Pedals Ride for women takes place Sunday, May 23. A portion of the funds raised through this charity ride will benefit both Women in Distress of Broward County, Inc. and the Level Up Cycling Movement.
