Join the City of Tamarac for an Evening of Commemoration, Entertainment and Art

JOIN THE CITY OF TAMARAC FOR AN EVENING OF COMMEMORATION, ENTERTAINMENT AND ART AT OUR BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION

The City of Tamarac announces updates to its Black History Month Celebration, including a new virtual keynote speaker, Katrina Jones, Diversity and Inclusion Leader at Amazon Web Services, and an additional performance by singer Rochelle Lightfoot. Radio personality Shelby Rushin will host this free event. 

DATE:          Friday, February 26, 2021

TIME:            6 p.m.

LOCATION:  The Tamarac Sports Complex, 9901 NW 77th St.

DETAILS:     Tamarac’s Mayor and Commission will recognize and honor local community leaders during the event and attendees will enjoy live poetry by Rebecca “Butterfly” Vaughn, performances by Delou African Dance Ensemble, vocals by Rochelle Lightfoot, and cultural art displays.  

Registration, face masks and social distancing are required to attend in-person. Families can reserve a 12 x 12-foot space for up to six people. The event can also be viewed virtually.
