To help Tamarac businesses recover from the impact of the pandemic, the City launched a Small Business Stabilization Grant program, the Tamarac Together: Support Local Business Campaign and eased certain restrictions.

Tamarac Small Business Stabilization Grant program

The City of Tamarac is committing $100,000 in one-time Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) CARES Act funds to provide grants of $5,000 to qualifying small businesses. Open enrollment is August 24 – 28. Information on eligibility, investment criteria, required documentation and the application process is available at

Tamarac Together: Support Local Business Campaign

Launched by the City in partnership with the Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, the economic development campaign encourages residents and businesses to buy goods and services from Tamarac-based businesses. This can be done safely when businesses and their patrons follow the guidelines set forth in local Emergency Orders, including facial coverings and social distancing. Small Business Emergency Assistance Provisions
COVID-19 business assistance emergency provisions temporarily allow additional commercial signage and outdoor seating at restaurants and to ease restrictions on established Tamarac businesses using food trucks during the pandemic. Businesses must apply to take advantage of these provisions; the form is available at
