The following federal assistance programs are available for individuals, households and businesses in Broward County:

FEMA Individual Assistance Programs: Broward County received an individual assistance designation, making FEMA’s housing assistance and several other needs assistance programs available to those who are eligible. For more information, or to apply, visit https://www.disasterassistance.gov or call (800) 621-3362. People with hearing or speech impediments can call (800) 462-7585.

Small Business Assistance: The SBA Disaster Loan Program is available to businesses of all sizes and most private nonprofit organizations. In addition, small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and most private nonprofits that suffered substantial economic injury may be eligible for Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million.  For information, or to apply, visit https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/Information/EIDLLoans.

City facilities and activities are returning to their normal schedule. Colony West Golf Club will reopen its Glades course and restaurant this Friday, Sept. 15, and Tamarac’s Community Garage sale is still on for this Saturday, Sept. 16, from 7:30 am – Noon at Tamarac Park.
