The purpose of this program is to provide emergency repair assistance to homeowners experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19. The program will provide for emergency repairs to major systems such as roof and any other components that the inspector deems necessary. Projects are reviewed and awarded on a case-by-case basis. Projects are undertaken only if scope of work can be completed within program parameters and funding agency deadline and if there are circumstances posing a threat to life and safety. Funds are awarded as a grant.
The purpose of this program is to provide connectivity technology to residents impacted by COVID-19. This program will support job search and employment support. This program is made available through a partnership with T-Mobile. Mobile devices and connection for two (2) years will be provided.
The Residential Assistance Program continues to assist with mortgage, rent and utility payments. The 4th round of assistance will remain open until funds are expended. This 4th round will be administered by the City of Tamarac with the assistance of a consultant, Civitas, LLC.
UPDATE: City staff is diligently processing 2nd and 3rd round applications for the Residential Assistance Program to assist with mortgage, rent and utility payments.
