The City of Tamarac’s Residential Assistance Program is designed to aid residents facing financial challenges with covering mortgage, rent, rent hikes and overdue HOA/Condo fees.

  • The Rental Assistance Program is designed to assist residents who are in arrears.
  • The GAP Rental Assistance Program is designed to assist residents facing a rent increase to bridge the gap between an applicant’s income and the cost of rent.
  • The Mortgage Assistance Program is designed to assist homeowners who are behind on their mortgage.
  • Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The program will remain open until funds are exhausted.
  • Checks will be made payable directly to the landlord/mortgage company.
  • The applicant must obtain a W-9 form from the landlord/mortgage company for the City to facilitate payment.
  • Incomplete applications will not be processed.
