Nob Hill Culvert Gate - 24-03B

Project will entail installation of a gate at culvert just west of Nob Hill Road at canal 2B to control water elevation in the city canal system. 

Status: It is anticipated to be issued end of February 2024.


CITYWIDE SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES – 24-01R

The City of Tamarac is requesting competitive sealed proposals for the provision of and award of a franchise agreement to provide Solid Waste Collection and Recycling Services for Single Family Residential, Multi-Family Residential and Commercial customers located within the City of Tamarac.  

Status:  Solicitation is scheduled to be issued no later than February 10.


DISASTER DEBRIS REMOVAL SERVICES – 24-04R

The City is soliciting proposals on behalf of the Public Services Department to obtain the services of a qualified firm(s) to provide services to remove, process, and lawfully dispose of disaster generated debris (other than hazardous materials and household putrescible garbage) from public property and public rights-of-way in the City of Tamarac, Florida in response to an emergency event such as, but not limited to, hurricane(s) or other natural or manmade disaster(s). The City is seeking proposals from highly qualified Contractors with experience in the specialized management of disaster response labor for the removal of debris along with the preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation phases of any emergency or disaster. Contractors must have the capability and ability to rapidly respond to wide scale debris volumes typically produced in hurricanes, tornadoes, and other disaster types as well as small scale debris volumes.  It is the intent of the City to award contracts to a Primary and a Secondary Contractor for these services in order to insure adequate resources at the time of an event.

The Contractor must handle debris management activities in the City of Tamarac, Florida in accordance with applicable regulations of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida Department of Health (FDH), Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS), South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) in conjunction with the City’s needs. The Contractor shall have an excellent understanding of the documentation involved for the reimbursement from FEMA, FHWA, or Other Federal Agencies, and the State relief programs to make the process of cost recovery efficient and accurate. The processes and documentation required will be in strict compliance with FEMA, FHWA, or Other Federal Agencies, and other State relief programs regulations regarding edibility.

This Proposal is being solicited in accordance with the Procurement Requirements for Federal grants, as provided for in Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200 Sec 317 – 327 as applicable, as detailed in    EXHIBIT C of this proposal document as incorporated herein in order to be eligible for reimbursement under the Public Assistance Program.

CITYWIDE PRESSURE CLEANING SERVICES – 24-06R

The City is soliciting proposals on behalf of the Public Services Department to obtain the services of multiple qualified firms from qualified Contractors to provide  The City of Tamarac with Citywide Pressure Cleaning Services. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, vehicles, chemicals, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform pressure cleaning services for public sidewalks, median curbing, median pavers, and buffer walls within the City.

Status:  Solicitation is scheduled to be issued during February 2024.


INVESTMENT ADVISORY SERVICES – TBD

The City is soliciting proposals on behalf of the Financial Services Department to obtain the services of a  qualified to provide Investment Advisory Services to the City.

DESIGN-BUILD SABLE PALM PARK PROJECT – STEP 1 – 24-10R 

The City of Tamarac is seeking to engage qualified firms to submit qualifications for the Design/Build of the Sable Palm Park Project.  The proposed project site is approximately an 8 acres lot located at Sable Palm Ave., Tamarac, Florida 33321.  The proposed elements include native landscaping on at least 30% of the site, an 8 foot concrete multi-use path with one (1) central covered fitness station (with 10 pieces of equipment), an approximate 1200 SF restroom/storage facility with concession area, a 6000 SF playground with maximum number of play equipment including safety surface and shade structure, 2500 SF splash pad, two (2) large picnic shelters (2600 SF rectangular & 36 feet hexagonal), a multi-purpose rectangular field, multi-purpose bleachers (6 EA), a basketball/pickleball court, a dog park, on-site parking area, perimeter fencing, irrigation & landscape improvements, lighting, video surveillance and security system, and fiber network infrastructure.

 Status:  Solicitation Step 1: Solicitation currently being solicited with a scheduled closing date of February 27, 2024.


CODE ENFORCEMENT SERVICES – 24-12R

The City is soliciting proposals on behalf of the Community Development Department to find a firm/individual to provide contractual code enforcement services at night.

Status: Solicitation is currently being solicited with a scheduled closing date of February 20, 2024.


Caporella Park Overflow Parking Lot – 24-15Q

The City of Tamarac is seeking to engage qualified firms to submit proposals (RFQ’s) for the Design/Build of the Caporella Park Overflow Parking Lot Project.  The proposed project site will include the development of existing off-site parcels located at 2400 NW 53rd street (City owned parcels, see site map attached herein as Exhibit 1), with a proposed new overflow parking lot to service existing Caporella Park, with a dedicated Right-of-Way crosswalk and advanced RRFB warning systems, security lighting & fencing, pavement markings and signage. The proposed project site is +/- 45,983 square feet (1.06 acres). 

The general scope of the project includes the following components: Complete removal of all pertinent materials (above and below ground) and appurtenances necessary to prepare site for proposed modifications; The design/build of City owned vacant parcels located at 2400 NW 53rd street, Tamarac, FL. 33309 to include ADA compliant overflow parking with associated drainage modifications, dedicated right-of-way crosswalk and advanced RRFB warning systems, security lighting, signage, and fiber network infrastructures facilities (powered fiber connections & infrastructure, security/wifi poles, video surveillance, etc.); Temporary sanitary facilities and controls necessary to perform the work, ensuring safe, proper access and use of the adjacent site, and surrounding areas by the public and City staff. Temporary facilities shall be maintained diligently and routinely; All design, permitting, structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, communications, fire, civil infrastructure and appurtenances necessary for a complete turnkey project; Work shall be completed in accordance with the latest editions of all codes/regulations, including but not limited to, Federal, State, Florida Building Code, City of Tamarac Land Development Code, City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances and Broward County Code of Ordinances; Sanitary sewer, potable water and storm-water drainage infrastructure is currently available adjacent to the existing project site; however, this infrastructure may need to be extended, expanded, rerouted and/or relocated as necessary for the design/build services on proposed overflow parking lot and associated appurtenances. 

 Status: Solicitation in progress with a due date of February 27, 2024.  

 

Design / Build Citywide Precast Buffer Wall – Pine Island Road North Project Step 1 – 24-11Q

The City of Tamarac is seeking to engage qualified firms to submit proposals (RFQ’s) for the Design/Build of the Citywide Precast Buffer Wall Pine Island Road North Project along Pine Island Road (NW 88th Avenue).   The proposed project site is located on the west side of Pine Island Road between NW 79th street and NW 81st street, Tamarac, Florida 33321 (see site map attached herein as Exhibit 1). The proposed work shall include, but not limited to, site preparation, demolition, construction & installation of approximately 1,667 linear feet of a new pre-cast concrete buffer wall system with a decorative keystone limerock style finish on front face of wall panels (Pine Island Road & local street side) and associated work, grading, tree removal/protection, utility relocations, coordination of private utilities relocations, coordination with Broward County, restoration, landscaping and sod installation.
