Mainlands of Tamarac Sections 1-5 Pavement Replacement Project. Broward County Mobility Advancement Maintenance Project #BC-TAM-FY2020-00001. Solicitation 21-18B.

Seeking surveying or engineering firms with experience in all phases of professional surveying as described in Florida Statutes, Chapter 472 entitled "Land Surveying and Mapping" and with surveyors licensed in the State of Florida on their staff to provide miscellaneous surveying and mapping services. Such services may include boundary surveys, plat surveys, easement surveys, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, and preparation of legal descriptions and sketches. Status: Pending in review by Broward County. The anticipated issuance is 2nd Quarter of 2022.

Multi-Modal Transportation Master Connectivity Plan. Broward County Mobility Advancement Project #TAMA-001. Solicitation 21-07R.

The City of Tamarac is hereby requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide the City with a Multi-Modal Transportation Connectivity Master Plan. Status: A solicitation is currently being reviewed by Broward County. It is anticipated to be issued in the 2nd Quarter of 2022.

Fire Station No. 15 Pre-Emption Emergency Vehicle Signal System Project. Broward County Mobility Enhancement Project #TAMA-014. Solicitation 21-19B.

The City of Tamarac is hereby requesting Bids, from Qualified Contractors, for the construction of the City of Tamarac, Fire Station No. 15 Pre-Emption Emergency Vehicle Signal System Project. The project consists of constructing a complete Pre-Emption Emergency Vehicle Signal System for the City of Tamarac’s Fire Station No. 15, located at 6000 Hiatus Road, Tamarac, Florida, 33321. The work shall include, but not limited to, verification of existing utilities and drainage facilities, clearing and grubbing, concrete removal, concrete curbing, concrete sidewalk and driveway restoration, the construction of substructures that will support mast arms, complete mast arm and signal systems, installation of new pavement markings and signage, trenching, directional boring, electrical conduit and component  installation - both to the interior and exterior of the fire station, earthwork, landscaping and sod restoration. The Contractor must perform these services in the City of Tamarac, Florida in accordance with applicable, Federal, State and local regulations and in accordance with the project design plans, as prepared by McMahon Associates, Inc. The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, engineering and obtaining all applicable permits, licenses, insurance, and supervision necessary to complete the project as specified herein. All proposed improvements shall be completed in accordance with the project bid documents, design plans, details, technical specifications / scope of work and all applicable federal, state, county, and local regulatory requirements. Status: A solicitation is being drafted. It requires review by Broward County prior to issuance. It is anticipated to be issued the 3rd Quarter of 2022. 

Nob Hill Culvert Gate.

Project will entail installation of a gate at culvert just west of Nob Hill Road at canal 2B to control water elevation in city canal system. Status: It is anticipated to be issued 3rd Quarter of 2022.

C-14 Canal Erosion Improvement Project - Solicitation 22-21B

This project consists of culvert bulkhead improvements at four (4) separate locations, as identified in the project design plans, the above Description of Work and the below Bid Schedules.  It is the intent of the City to award this bid based on the Total Base Bid for all bid items; however, the City reserves the right to award this bid by low total per location or by low total per groups of locations, whichever is in the best interest of the City at the following 4 locations:

  • CULVERT BULKHEAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE VI - Southgate Blvd. West (SOUTH)
  • CULVERT BULKHEAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE VI – Southgate Blvd. East (SOUTH)
  • CULVERT BULKHEAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE VI, NW 46th Street (Tamarac Lakes Section 2)
  • CULVERT BULKHEAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE VI, NW 82nd Street (NORTH) 

Status: Solicitation currently being developed and scheduled for issuance in by mid to late August.

Water Treatment Plant Control Buildings - Step 1 Project Solicitation 22-24Q

The City of Tamarac is seeking to engage qualified firms to submit their qualifications (RFQ’s) for the Construction of the Water Treatment Control Building Project.  The proposed project site is approximately an 8.9 acres lot located at 7803 NW 61 St., Tamarac, Florida 33321. The project will include 3 bid packages A, B & C. Bid package A includes the construction of a new 13,955 SF 2 story hardened building, utility connections, new parking lots, site perimeter walls, fencing and demolition of the existing building. Package B includes the construction of 3 smaller buildings and upgrades to the water treatment plant equipment, control systems and electrical equipment. Bid package C includes the replacement of filters 1 and 2 with a new 10 MGD filter structure.

Step 1 will entail proposers submitting their qualifications for consideration for this project.  Firms that are pre-qualified under Step 1 will then receive a Step 2 proposal document to allow them to respond by providing specific details and pricing for this project.

The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, engineering and obtaining all applicable permits, licenses, insurance, and supervision necessary to complete the project as specified herein. All proposed improvements shall be completed in accordance with the project bid documents, design plans, details, technical specifications / scope of work and all applicable Federal, State, County, and City codes/regulations, including but not limited to, Seventh Edition (2020) Florida Building Code, Seventh Edition (2020) Florida Building Code Accessibility, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances, City of Tamarac Standard Engineer Details and industry standards if greater than code requirements. If a conflict between any Codes, Regulations, Standards and Criteria is detected, the most stringent shall apply.

Swimming Pool Management Services - TBD

The City is soliciting proposals on behalf of the City of Tamarac Parks & Recreation Department to obtain the services of a qualified firm to provide Swimming Pool Management Services at the Caporella Aquatic Center, 9300 NW 58th Street, Tamarac, Florida 33321-4605. 

Status: Solicitation currently being developed and scheduled for issuance in late August or early September.
