Youth Opportunities

The City of Tamarac is committed to providing enriching programs and opportunities for our youth.

Leadership Tamarac Class of 2019-2020

BSO Law Enforcement ExplorerThis program for teens and young adults (14-20 years of age) allows participants to interact with law enforcement and other community advisors as they participate side-by-side with law enforcement deputies and civilian personnel in on-going training and community service projects.* 

Fire Rescue Cadet Program: A program in which teens, starting at 13 years of age through high school graduation, can learn about Fire and EMS techniques and service.*

Leadership Tamarac: An annual program for high school students to learn about City government and leadership. Contact PIO@Tamarac.org for information.*

Teen Council: The goal of this empowering program is to facilitate teen leadership and community involvement. Application forms are available online; call Sam Monroe for details, (954) 597- 3648.

Swim Lessons/Swim Team: The City offers youth swim lessons and partners with the TS Aquatics swim team.

Youth Recreation Classes: From archery to karate, learn about the City's recreational programming for children and teens. 

Youth Sports Leagues: Tamarac offers a variety of Youth sports leagues.
