The City of Tamarac is strategically located in the center of Broward County, which is between Dade and Palm Beach Counties in South Florida. The City is within twenty minutes of super highways, the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport, Port Everglades and railways. It is easily accessible from the Sawgrass Expressway and the Florida Turnpike.

Since its incorporation in 1963, Tamarac has prospered and grown into a full service city. Tamarac is 12 square miles located in Central Broward County. The approximate population of the City is 59,000. The Citys projected population at build-out is over 60,000.

The City of Tamarac constantly strives to meet the needs and improve the health, welfare and safety of its residents. Tamarac prides itself on being a government that is responsive to its residents.

Directions to Tamarac

The City is within twenty minutes of super highways, the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport, Port Everglades and railways. It is easily accessible from the Sawgrass Expressway and the Florida Turnpike.

Florida Turnpike:

From the north, exit Atlantic Boulevard and go west to University Dr. Head south on University Dr. to McNabb Rd. Go west on McNabb to Pine Island Rd.(88th Avenue). Go north on Pine Island and the City Hall is on the Left.

From the south, exit Commercial Boulevard and go west to University Dr. Head north on University Dr. to McNabb Rd. Go west on McNabb to Pine Island Rd.(88th Avenue). Go north on Pine Island and the City Hall is on the Left.

Sawgrass Expressway:

From the north, exit Atlantic Boulevard and go east to Coral Springs Dr.(Pine Island / 88th Avenue). Head south on Coral Springs Dr. to 7525 NW 88 Avenue. From the south, exit Commercial Boulevard and go east to Pine Island Rd (NW 88th Avenue). Head north on Pine Island to 7525 NW 88th Avenue.

I-95:
From the North or South, exit Cypress Creek and head west, to Pine Island Road (NW 88th Ave.). Turn North. City Hall is located a mile on your left at 7525 NW 88th Avenue.
