Research for Determination of Open Permits and Outstanding Building and Code Enforcement Violations   

The Open Permits and Code Violations  form will provide you information on:

  • Open permits including the permit number on any permits attached to the property in the City of Tamarac;
  • Special Magistrate cases and case numbers that are attached to the property
  • Outstanding Code Compliance violations and case numbers attached to the property

Any person appearing on the property owners behalf must fill out and submit a Designated Agent Form.

Lien Settlement Request Form
  • The requesting party is responsible for verifying and providing all information on the Lien request form and submitting to the Building Department with the appropriate fees so the City can provide the requestor with a lien settlement amount.
  • When a property is subject to a real estate transaction such as a short sale, bank sale or owner to owner and the property may be subject to a lien from the City of Tamarac, Realtors and/or title companies are required to submit this form to obtain a settlement on the lien from the City.

Abatement Hearings are scheduled on the Third Wednesday* of the month. Abatement Applications need to be submitted one week prior to the hearing date. Hearings commence at 2 pm and are held in the City Hall - Chambers located at 7525 NW 88 Ave, Tamarac, FL 33323.

* November Abatement hearing is the 14th.

Abatement Procedure

  • The owner of the property can attend the hearing and request that the lien on the property be waived, reduced to a specific amount, or upheld in full.
  • Application for an Abatement Hearing is available to a property owner after compliance of a Building Code Violation has been obtained on the property.
