Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
The City of Tamarac is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, sex including pregnancy, familial status, marital status, national origin, disability, political affiliation, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or other non-job related factors, except where limited by law.

The Application Process
Recruitment for all job postings will require a fully complete official City of Tamarac Employment Application in order to be considered. All applications must be submitted to the Human Resources Department and may be submitted in person, by mail or by fax. Generally, postings will remain open until filled or until sufficient number of applications are received. However, it is advantageous to apply prior to the First Review Date. Resumes submitted without an application will not be considered until the application is received.

Completing the Application
It is important that all sections of the application are filled out completely and accurately. If a section on the application does not apply, please indicate n/a. False, misleading, incomplete or omitted information will result in disqualification from the application process. Unless specifically requested in the job announcement, proof of education is not required to be submitted along with the application. However, all educational attainment, licenses, and certifications must be accurately documented on the application and are subject to verification.

Veterans Preference
In accordance with F.S. 295, the City will grant consideration at all phases of the recruitment to eligible veterans and eligible spouses of veterans. Applicants seeking veterans preference are required to submit a copy of their DD 214, Certificate of Discharge, or Statement of Eligibility at the time of application.

Applicants with disabilities may request reasonable accommodations, if selected for interview, examination, or other selection process, by contacting the Human Resources Department at (954) 597-3600.
