General Municipal Elections
Elections are held in November of even numbered years, on dates authorized by laws governing municipal elections in Broward County. The City of Tamarac is divided into four Commission Districts (Districts 1, 2, 3 and 4), with one City Commissioner residing in each district. The Mayor of the City of Tamarac is elected on an at-large (City-wide) basis. 

Elections Schedules
The qualification period for the Tuesday, November 6, 2012 City of Tamarac General Municipal Election for City Commission Districts 1 and 3 commenced on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 12:00 pm and concluded at 12:00 pm on Friday, June 8, 2012. Election Results
Both Commissioner Pamela Bushnell (District 1) and Vice Mayor Diane Glasser (District 3) qualified for the November 6, 2012 City of Tamarac general municipal election and were unopposed.
