Permit Requirements

Our permit brochure provides many of the details about the permit process, when they are needed, and how to obtain one. Of course, the best way to get the complete information you need is to call the City of Tamarac's Building Department. 

Homeowner permits are allowed for certain types of work.  Please contact our department at 954-597-3420 to find out whether you may obtain your own permit.

Contractors or Homeowner's are required to complete a permit application form and submit two copies of the plans.

Inspection Requirements

• Inspection requests received before 3:00 pm will be made the next business day.  Inspections requested after 3:00 pm will be scheduled for the following business day.
• Inspections are required after obtaining permits per Florida Building Code.
• Schedule an inspection on-line or by calling 954-597-3420.
