Free Disposal and Recycling of Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics
Most homes have at least small amounts of household hazardous wastes, such as pesticides, motor oil, paint and paint thinner, pool chemicals, drain cleaners, etc. Many electronics that are thrown out, such as TVs also contain hazardous materials, such as mercury and lead. Even small amounts of these materials can be harmful to the environment if disposed of improperly, and can be dangerous to sanitation workers if mixed in with regular garbage. Therefore, the City of Tamarac has partnered with Broward County and other cities to provide safe and environmentally friendly disposal and recycling of household hazardous waste and electronics FREE OF CHARGE!

These items (household hazardous waste and electronics) can be carefully packed and taken to the North HHW Collection Center located at:
North HHW Collection Center
2780 N. Powerline Road
Pompano Beach, FL

This facility is open to all Broward County Residents every Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The following location accepts electronics ONLY and is open Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:00 p.m.
ARC Broward, Inc.
