Fleet Management
| To provide reliable transportation and functional equipment utilized by City Departments, minimizing down and ensuring reliable and safety. |
| The Fleet Management Division is responsible for all repairs and maintenance of City vehicles, including Fire Rescue apparatus, small and heavy equipment, stormwater pump stations, fuel systems, and emergency generators. This Division is also responsible for recommending, when necessary, vehicle and equipment replacements based upon condition, mileage, maintenance costs, and serviceability. |
The main goal of the Fleet division is to ensure that all City vehicles and equipment are kept in service and in safe operation. The Fleet Division conducted a customer satisfaction survey in FY 2006, with outstanding results, and this survey will be conducted each year in an effort to improve services. A goal for FY 2007 for the Fleet Management Division will be to ensure a smooth transition during the underground fuel tank replacement project, providing for as little interruption as possible to the daily fueling needs of all Departments.
