| Visit the Monthly Art Exhibits at the Community Center |
Visit the Lobby of the Tamarac Community Center to view the Artist-of-the-Month exhibit. Attention artists, if you are interested in displaying your artwork, applications are available at the Tamarac Community Center. For more information, please call 954-597-3620.

If you would like to exhibit your artwork at the Tamarac Community Center, we invite you to stop by the Community Center and pick up an Artist's package, or download it here. Once filled, send the appliation to the attention of Charlene Nevadomski at Tamarac Community Center.

ARTSERVE ART EXHIBIT

Eco Art Expo

This exhibit will feature handcrafted artwork created by elementary students ages 8-10 during ArtServe's Eco-Art Program. The exhibit combines an ecological topic with an art discipline.
Location: Tamarac City Hall Atrium
Exhibit Dates: May 1-29, 2008
Opening Reception: Thursday, May 1, 2008, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

CLASSICAL CONCERT

Join us at the Tamarac Community Center Ballroom on Friday, April 25th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. and enjoy the sounds of classical music by Pianist Adolfo Vidal. Light refreshments will be served. Cost is $5.00 per person and can be purchased at the Community Center front desk.

This event is free and open to the public. Join us on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Event will be held in the Ballroom at the Tamarac Community Center.

HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS EXPO - GET READY FOR HURRICANE SEASON

The Hurricane Preparedness Expo is designed to provide useful resources and information to the public on how to prepare for a hurricane. Speakers and various vendors will be onsite to answer your questions and assist you in preparing for the 2008 Hurricane Season...and beyond. The Expo will take place at the Tamarac Community Center on May 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

MOTHER'S DAY DANCE

Mothers and children will enjoy an evening of dancing, food, prizes, and a souvenir photo. The celebration happens at the Tamarac Community Center on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 6-8:00 p.m. Fee is $10.00 per couple for residents and $15.00 per couple for non-residents. Each additional child: $15.00.

MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY

Join us in remembering our Veterans. The City of Tamarac Veterans Affairs Committee, along with our Mayor and City Commission, invite you to join them on this special holiday, as the City pays tribute to those who gave their lives to protect our freedom. Light refreshments will be provided after the ceremony. Winners of the “What Memorial Day Means to Me” essay contest will be recognized.

3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

This is a free event! Register your team now! Tournament will be held at the Tamarac Multi-Purpose Center on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 and is open to ages 13-17 and 18+.

FATHER'S DAY FISHING TOURNAMENT
|
| Calling children 5-17 years of age to celebrate with a "Day on the Lake". The fun happens on Saturday, June 14th, 9:00 a.m. to Noon. Cost is just $10.00 per family. A special gift will be given to all fathers. Participants must use their own fishing equipment and bait. Prizes will be awarded for "largest fish" and "most fish caught".. |
