Support Groups/Advisor Groups

Caregiver Support Group

Are you a full-time caregiver for someone over the age of 60? Do you feel stressed out and overwhelmed with the challenges? Meet with others who share similar experiences caring for a loved one. Support groups meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 10-11:30 a.m. Program provided in partnership with Jewish Family Services. Depression & Bipolar Peer Support Group

Women's group meets every Wednesday from 6-8:00 p.m.

Co-ed groups meet every Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m.

FAMILY PROGRAMS 

Women's Individual Empowerment Sessions

Women of all ages will receive eight free individual couseling sessions. Topics include empowerment, self improvement, relationships, legal issues, domestic violence, and parenting. Sessions are facilitated by Lakshmi Subrahmanian, a licensed mental health counselor. By appointment only. Please call 954-655-7040 to register and 954-597-3642 for further information.

FISH (Families Invested Support Health)

FISH is a support group for families of children whose behavior challenges family relationships, social development and school performance. Program is held Tuesday nights, 6-8 p.m. at the Tamarac Recreation Center. Sponsored by Mental Health Association and funded by Broward County Human Services Department. Guiding Good Choices

Guiding Good Choices is a five session curriculum to educate adults about the challenges and difficulties faced by youths. Program is held Mondays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Tamarac Community Center. RSVP to Dwight at 954-861-9365. Sponsored by Broward County Substance Abuse Commission and facilitated by Tamarac District of BSO.
