Skateboard Park
- City Commission Resolution on March 10, 2010 Commission agenda to approve the purchase and installation of skate park equipment from American Ramp Company.The skate park equipment will be installed at the hockey rink on the existing surface.
- American Ramp Company’s Solo modular skate park elements constructed of high strength pre-cast concrete skate features.
- The skate elements include:
–Jersey barriers, banks, wedges
–Benches and piers
–Ledges, unique bowl and half pipe
- Grand Opening held in September 2010. Park is open for use.
Integrated Bikeway/Walkway Study
- One of the projects in Tamarac 2004 (Strategic Plan) is to study the feasibility of creating an interconnecting system of bikeways throughout the City. Feasibility Study to be completed prior to bidding construction.
- A bikeway system would provide interconnected safe avenues for bike riders to access schools, shopping and parks from the City’s residential areas.
- Study completed and being reviewed to see what can be implemented
