Caporella Aquatic Center

The Caporella Aquatic Center, located at 9300 NW 58^th Street, Tamarac, is now open. This long-awaited addition to Tamarac's park system provides the City's first public swimming pool, as well as, a wide range of amenities. Features include a zero-depth entry, 25 yard x 25 meter, eight-lane pool with double tornado slide, children's water play area (Sprayground), plus picnic pavilion, concession stand and fitness center.

Caporella Park

Located at 5200 Prospect Road, Tamarac. The park features picnic tables, grills, benches, lake, fishing pier, walkway, covered playground, shelter and restrooms. The park is open 7:30 a.m. to dusk. Caporella Park offers a medium sized shelter that accomodates up to 25 people. **

Gary B. Jones Park for People and Pups

The dog park is located at 8101 Southgate Boulevard, on Southgate Bouelvard west of University Drive and Tamarac Veterans' Park. The park features areas for both large and small dogs, a common area with drinking fountains (for both people and pups), a dog washing area, shelters, pathways, and landscaping. Sunset Point Park

11000 W. McNab Road, located at the western end of McNab Road, just east of the Sawgrass Expressway. The amenities include multi-purpose trail with exercise stations, shelters with grills and electric, wetlands nature study kiosk, universal/ADA playground with shade cover, small amphitheatre, and restrooms. Sunset Point Park ofers small shelters for up to 15 people, medium shelters for up to 25 people and large shelters that accomodate up to 40 people. **

Tamarac Commons

This pretty "pocket park" is located on the southwest corner of McNab Road and 88^th Avenue (Pine Island Road). The park features an artistic fountain with a public art sculpture by Tamarac artist George Gadson, known as "Egretta Thula". The park is open sunrise to sunset and has benches to provide visitors a resting spot, along with open space and landscaping.

Tamarac Community Center

Located at 8601 W. Commercial Boulevard. The building offers a gymnasium, meeting rooms, ballroom, arts & crafts room with kiln, and restroom/locker rooms. An award-winning senior program is offered at this facility providing various activities Monday-Friday from early morning until late afternoon. The program is available to residents and non-residents alike and features card playing, arts & crafts, movies, exercise programs such as chair aerobics and Jazzercise, game play and more. The facility is open at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m., excluding Sundays when the hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please take a moment to view the fabulous public art sculpture by world-renowned artist Leonardo Nierman. The artwork is located in front of the Community Center of Commercial Boulevard and is known as "Illusion".

Tamarac Park

Located at 7501 N. University Drive, Tamarac. Tamarac Park includes the Tamarac Recreation Center with offices, as well as, baseball fields, racquetball court, covered playground, concession stand, restrooms and picnic tables. Park hours are 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The Tamarac Multi-Purpose Center, 7531 N. University Drive, is adjacent to the Tamarac Park Recreation Center. The facility features a Gymnasium, meeting rooms, teen council, art room, and restroom/locker rooms.  Facility hours vary per scheduled activities.

Tamarac Sports Complex/Tract 27

Located at 9901 N.W. 77 Street, this park is home to many of the sports in Tamarac. The Tamarac Sports Complex amenities include a hockey rink, tennis courts, basketball courts, covered playground, picnic tables, football/soccer fields, along with concession stand and restrooms. The Sports Complex Expansion project was completed in the spring 2009. Expansion elements include  two (2) full-size and one (1) Little League baseball fields, Concession building with meeting room and restrooms, Picnic shelter, Playground, Fishing pier, Multi-purpose path, Natural area, parking, revision of existing park facilities. The park is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Tamarac Veterans' Park

Located at 7825 Southgate Boulevard, Tamarac. This is a passive park offering open space along a canal, small boat launching ramp, boat trailer parking, picnic area with grill, gazebo, restrooms, and the Tamarac Veterans Memorial. As part of the Memorial, visitors will view the inspiring eternal flame public art sculpture by local artist Beth Ravitz.  The sculpture, known as "In the Spirit of Peace", can also be seen lighted at night from University Drive. Veterans' Park is open 7:30 a.m. to dusk.

Tephford Park

Located at 10003 Southgate Boulevard, Tamarac, between Southgate Blvd., and the C-14 canal, from Nob Hill Road, west to the Sawgrass Expressway. Tephford Park is a passive park featuring picnic facilities, multi-purpose pathways, playground, fishing pier, restrooms and creative landscaping. The park was named in March 2008 after Brian Tephford, a Broward Sheriff's Office Deputy who was killed in the line of duty on November 12, 2006, while conducting a traffic stop in Tamarac. Tephford Park is open 7:30 a.m. to dusk.
