Tamarac Fire Rescue CERT Program offers Regional Training
for the CERT Community.
Classes will be scheduled over the next 10 Months offering classes throughout that time.
Classes are to include:
- Advanced Triage - Advanced Search and Rescue Cribbing included - Chainsaw Safety and Roof Repair - Ladder use and safety - Advanced Fire Suppression - Intro to Incident Command (Team Leaders don't miss this). - Damage Assessment
Two classes on each subject will be made available.
Twenty people per class minimum number for a class ten, (10), less then ten members the class will be cancelled.

You will be required to fill out an application before admission.
Members should act quickly as we are recieving calls every day to get into certain classes.
All classes start at 9:30AM

May 28: Cribbing and shoring**
June 2005:
Jun 11: Advanced Search and Rescue**

July 2005:
Jul 9: Chainsaw use and safety
Jul 23: Advanced Fire Suppression
Classes begin at 9:30 Sharp Each Class runs approximately 3 hours.

Directions from Turnpike:
Turnpike to sawgrass expressway Exit Commercial Blvd heading East at first light make left onto Hiatus Fire Station on Right Mile
From I-95:
95 to Commercial Blvd Heading West pass over University go four (4) Lights make Right onto Hiatus Rd Northbound approximately Mile to Station 15.
NOTE:
** The classess that show the ** are hands on and may involve lifting, pulling, carrying and some other forms of physical work. If you are unable to perform a task or have any limitations you should let the instructor know in advance.

CERT Member Responsibilities
Arrive on time on your scheduled day.
Be Prepared: Bring the Following Items
Helmet Goggles Gloves Long Pants and Boots
Anyone not equiped will not be able to participate in any hands on activities.
Members shall advise Training Staff at the beginning of the class of any limitations.
Members will also be required to sign a Hold Harmless agreement for the City and an additional agreement by the Training vendor. |
